Making a roofing covering using NEXLER Bitumen Shingles 800 should be carried out according to the technical design, in accordance with the current building regulations and the detailed guidelines for the design and execution of covering contained in Shingle Installation Instructions and Technical Data Sheet.
Each pack of shingles includes a set of installation instructions that can also be accessed via our website at www.nexler.com.
The bitumen shingles should be installed in ambient temperatures of above +5°C, this requirement applies to the time of day and night. The optimum temperature for shingle installation is 20 - 25°C.
Do not carry out installation work during strong winds and precipitation.
NEXLER Bitumen Shingles 800 should be fastened mechanically with additional adhesive applied around the edges. Adhesive should be applied 50 cm from the edge, measured towards the centre of the roof. The shingles do not bond to each other automatically, and this effect is not considered when evaluating roof resistance to wind suction forces. The roof will achieve long-term strength if the shingles are sealed properly around the roof edges, chimneys and valleys, and secured with roofing nails.
